We work together to tailor our services to meet the individual need of each student. Whether that is through enhancing:

Communication Skills.
Developing Fine Motor Abilities.
Addressing Emotional Well-being.

Student Services Department offers a range of specialized services such as:

Educational Assessments/Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Reflecting our commitment to tailored learning, we develop and maintain ensuring each student who requires, receives the specific accommodations they need to thrive.

Utilizing rigorous and culturally sensitive evaluations to identify students unique learning profiles. This ensures that appropriate educational strategies are tailored and implemented to each students strengths and needs.

Speech and Learning Services

Speech Aids work directly with students, supporting in developing effective foundation of literacy, verbal and communication skills crucial for academic success, lifelong learning and social interactions.

Mentored by Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs), our Speech Aides implement individual plans of service, collect progress data, and meet weekly for coaching.

Occupational Therapy (OT) Services

Occupational Therapy is used to assist students in developing or regaining skills needed for school, home, and community life, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing and daily living skills. Allowing students to better navigate their environments.

Specialized Counseling Supports

Mental health and well-being are at the heart of academic success. Our counselling team provides a safe, supportive space for students to navigate social-emotional challenges and build resilience. Specialized Counseling Supports are to provide students with emotional, social, and behavioral guidance in a confidential and culturally sensitive manner.

Additional supports are also provided for more intensive counseling.

Classroom Student Supports

AMBE collaborates closely with educators to implement specialized resources and accommodations, ensuring that the "success for all" philosophy is felt in every classroom, every day utilizing student integration aides and student integration lead staff members.
