Welcome to the New School Year!

On behalf of the Transportation Department within the Ahkwesasne Mohawk Board of Education, we hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer vacation. {lease take a moment to review the Transportation Handbook as we have a few changes for the upcoming school year.

Please remind your child(ren):

1. When waiting for the bus, remain a safe distance from the edge of the road.
2. Sit properly, facing forward in your assigned seat.
3. Respect the bus driver and bus monitor at all times.
4. No eating, drinking, chewing gum, spitting, or littering on the bus.
5. Any alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, vaping, or any drug use is prohibited.
6. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself and inside the bus at all times.
7. Zero tolerance for BULLYING.
8. Absolutely NO Cell Phones allowed on the school buses.

There will be no school bus changes accepted unless discussed with the Transportation Manager. Students will have one designated pick up and drop off location. Those students in Grade 6 or older will not require an adult present in order to be dropped off at home. Any student who is in Grade 5 or younger will require an adult present in order to be dropped off at home, unless written consent has been given to drop off students by the parents.

As of the 2025-2026 school year all of the school buses are equipped with digital video and audio surveillance systems for the protection of our staff and students. Video and Audio footage is confidential and will only be used for investigative purposes.

Please take note that Transportation is a privilege not a right and any student's privileges may be revoked for failure to comply with any rules set forth by the Ahkwesasne Mohawk Board of Education.
