Post-Secondary Assistance Program

The AMBE Post-Secondary Assistance Program consists of the Post-Secondary Manager, a Data Systems Administrator, and a Student Support Liaison. The AMBE PSAP Vision is to empower Akwesasnro:non to take leading roles in the community by pursuing a post-secondary education. Higher Education will help our people become qualified to fill the vital roles within our community. The AMBE PSAP Mission is to provide information and financial assistance to community members who wish to attain a post-secondary education.

Each year, the Post-Secondary Assistance Program visits Salmon River Central School, Massena Central School, and Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School to meet with graduating high school seniors. The AMBE PSAP also attends a Financial Aid Night which is held with the Higher Education Program for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. The application process for the Post-Secondary Assistance Program is shared with the students and they also receive help in filling the application out.
